Leadership Development Course

RAISING NEXT GENERATION LEADERS

Who is invited?

This course is designed for emerging leaders at RFC who sense a call to serve and shape the life of the church. It offers a structured space to grow in character, conviction, and confidence over the course of a year. Together we will explore the foundations of Christian leadership, the vision of the church, and the importance of discipleship and formation through six in person sessions. We will look at mission, discipleship, spiritual gifts, communication, and pastoral care, with space to reflect and apply what you are learning in real contexts. Each session combines teaching, Scripture, discussion, and prayer, helping you to lead from a place of depth and maturity. The aim is not only to develop skills but to form leaders who are rooted in Jesus, shaped by the Spirit, and ready to serve others well. This is for those who are already serving or sense a call to step into leadership and want to grow with intentionality.

FAQ’s

  • The course requires a significant commitment of time and energy.  An application process helps us to work together with you to make sure that leadership training is a good next step for you.

  • This particular course is aimed at young people (18-30) who want to grow in their leadership understanding, gifting and opportunity.

  • Any and all levels of experience are welcomed, but as part of the application process you will be asked about how you currently serve both in the life of the church and more broadly as well.

  • The course is free to you.

  • Every other month will involve a Saturday half or whole day in person at the Storehouse - with the high expectation that you will make every one of them. Outside of that, there will be probably about an hour a week in terms of reading, bible reading, mentoring, small group discussion, or homework activities. Our hope is that you will also be connected with an area of ministry in the church and given practical opportunities to grow in leadership through service.

  • After you apply, a small team will look through your application and give some next steps. That might be an encouragement to join the year long course. For others, it may be that the course is right, but not quite yet, and some constructive steps for the next 12 months might be offered ahead of attending the course.
