There will be no meeting at either Reading Girls School or South Street Arts Centre this Sunday as we will be meeting together at Reading Town Hall (10.15am) for our 10th Anniversary celebration. See you all there
•Sunday 11th September we'll be having baptisms. If you would like to be baptized or would like to explore this as the next step for you, please contact Scott Taylor.
•On Saturday 17th September there will be a quiz night with a meal from 7-9:30pm @ Church Offices. This evening will be for adults only and tickets cost £3. To buy your ticket, please contact Roy Avis or Lesley Holland asap.
•On Sunday 25th September there is a Newcomers Lunch from 12:30-3pm @ Church Office. If you are new to the church or don't feel connected yet, we'd love you to join the pastors for lunch. Please contact the church office to book in.
•On Monday 26th September the Marriage Course will be starting, and will run over 7 Mondays from 7:30-10pm @ Church Offices. The cost for the course is £70 per couple (includes a meal each week and all materials). For more information or to sign up, please contact Lucy Thomas.
•Alpha will be starting on Tuesday 27th September. If you'd like to come or have a friend who is interested in joining the course, or would like more information, please contact Scott Taylor.
•On Saturday 1st October we will be having a women's coffee & pastries morning from 8:30-10:30am @ Church Offices. Cost will be £2, book in with Liz Karsten
•The next Membership Sunday is on Sunday 2nd October during the morning and evening meetings. This is an opportunity for you to find out more about the vision & values of the Church and explore whether you'd like to become a member. To book your place, please contact the church office
•Rugby World Cup, New Zealand 2011 (all invited) - Sat 8th October - Fancy watching some non-stop action in this year's Rugby World Cup? Join us for a big screen viewing of what will hopefully be England's quarter final match on Saturday 8th October at 8:30am. Bring your own snacks, teas & coffees will be provided.

A group of youth from the church will be heading out to Newday 2011, on Monday 1st to Norfolk Showground for a week of camping, just outside of Norwich. It is an exciting week packed with teaching, worship, hearing from God and fantastic fun.

It's never too early to book your place on the Marriage Course. Gavin & Lucy Thomas will be running the 7 week course starting on Monday 26th September @ RFC Office, costing £70 per couple (two bursaries are also available for this course) coving issues such as commnication, conflict resolution and forgiveness.
Whether you have been married for one year or sixty years and whatever your situation, the practical tools you learn will help improve and strengthen your relationship. While The Marriage Course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for couples with or without a Christian faith.

The annual South Reading Churches Fun Day will be taking place on Saturday 9th July @ Rabson's Rec, 11-3pm. Everyone is welcome to come along & enjoy the South Reading Churches Fun Day, admission is FREE! So, bring yourself, bring your friends, bring your family.

A day of teaching, worship, and being equipped to be students who live their lives for Jesus and live them to the full, both at University and beyond.
An exciting day containing three fantastic talks on the gospel and holiness; relationships; and work, careers and life decisions - helping you students be empowered to live a life that glorifies God, but engaging and enjoying University life, not withdrawing into a Christian bubble > to be students that are 'in the world' but not 'of the world'!
The cost is £2, but this will get you a good lunch, and snacks and sweets to keep you going throughout. There will be time for worship, prayer, questions, and also a bit of fun and games!
This event is put on by the Reading Family Church Student Team, but:all are very welcome!

Michael Ross-Watson will be joining us on Sunday 8th May at both the morning service, Reading Girls' School, 10am and at the evening service, South Street Arts Centre, 6.30pm. He is currently a member of Kerith Community Church and returned to England after 10 years in Indonesia- spent evangelising, pioneering and teaching, to an itinerant teaching and preaching ministry. We are very much looking forward to hearing Michael preach on forgiveness.
Spring is firmly here and has brought with it life, colour and excitement. It is therefore a great time for our second Community Lunch which is scheduled for Sunday 17th April, 1-3pm @ RFC office and is open to all.
It is a 'bring and share' event with a Chinese themed decorations, there will be fun activities, which will follow a cultural theme with international presentations, Q&A, and a short cultural dance.
We will also begin a small fund as an avenue of blessing to cater for future lunches, so voluntary contributions will be welcomed, but you don't need to make a contribution to join in.

Henry Olonga @ RFC- September date TBC. An evening with Henry Olonga who made his international debut in 1995, becoming the youngest player and first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe. Henry achieved international recognition (along with team mate Andy Flower) in 2003 by wearing a black arm band to the Cricket World Cup match to protest against the policies of the Zimbabwe's government. Henry is so good that we will invite the girls to this event! Watch this space for further details.

Guest speaker Paul Brown will be joining us from City Hope Church, Bermondsey on Sunday 10th April, 10.00am @ Reading Girls' School & 6.30pm @ South Street Arts Centre. He is a seasoned evangelist who has seen many people led to the gospel and has often stepped out and seen many healed.
Join us and invite your friends and family, for what I am sure will be a great meeting- the gospel will be preached and people will be changed.

BBC Radio Berkshire @ RFC
On Sunday morning we are giving thanks for 6 children and BBC Radio Berkshire will be with us. They saw our website and asked if they could come to record some interviews for their Faith Show.

The venue has been booked and the plans are being made for Reading Family Church's Carol Concert, so put Sunday 5th December, 5.30pm in your diary early to avoid disappointment.
The carol concert will be held at Reading Town Hall, Blagrave Street and this magnificent venue can hold scores of people so please invite all your friends and family.
This exciting, free of charge evening will include a great preach, carols, performances and readings. So come and join us as we gather together to spend time with loved ones, meet new people and give praise to our creator.
For the past 5 years we have teamed up with other churches who meet in Whitley to put on a Fun Day for the community. Last year was our biggest yet, with over 4000 people in attendance!
Our Whitley based Life Groups have been taking a lead in this but if you would like to help serve on the day please do contact either Tim Rooke or Chris Poston via the church office.
Of course everyone is invited to come along on the day and enjoy the fun 11am-3pm, Saturday 10th July, Rabson's Rec, Northumberland Avenue.

We are in for a cracking Sunday at RFC. In the morning at Reading Girls, we have Chris Kilby with us at our Healing Meeting. In the evening at South Street, we are hosting a 'Sermon Sunday' where 5 people from RFC will be preaching for 7 minutes each. So do come along in the evening to South Street Arts Centre!
